Dear HR People,

Thank you for not believing in me. Thank you for sending me those “wish you best” letters letting me know that I was not a perfect fit for your company or organization.

For the last couple of years, I honestly struggled with where I wanted to take my professional career, what could be the next step. Was it in e-commerce, or maybe in retail marketing? No, I started getting bored and felt purposeless. Applying to jobs felt highly annoying, with all the processes and horrible tests where you have to prepare entire marketing plans and content for a company that is not just there to check on what you’re good at but also is using you to get free work. For real, that’s NOT ETHIC at all.

And getting a NO, while frustrating, at the same time was refreshing because I no longer saw no purpose in creating marketing strategies and content for the retail and CeFi industries.

Honestly, I wanted to try something new, maybe crypto? I previously bought some crypto in 2019 and 2020 and knew a bit about the blockchain but never thought of it as a career; I was there just for the Lambo. When Lambo?

Thanks to those HR nopes, I embarked on a web3 adventure that has lasted a year now. One has allowed me to explore my potential and capabilities to a level that I had not worked in years. And I found gold in the company I joined this past January. Now, I am pursuing excellence with my colleagues at Reach, the developer-friendly platform that allows developers and entrepreneurs to BUIDL DApps quickly, securely, and smartly.

And it all started during the first interview when I fell in love with the company’s project, vision, and the purpose of building a better world and bringing web3 accessibility to everyone. Making its primary goal is to make blockchain so accessible that it becomes so booooooooring that the average Joe gets to experience it without knowing that he/she/they is using it.

Blockchain made just as effortless as using a smartphone or a computer. That’s a goal so ambitious I wanted to hop into right away. There is purpose.

So HR people, thank you again for not believing in me because now I know I’m in the right place, making accessible blockchain for everybody, and today I’m happy to be part of it.

Web3 is the future.
